Hulbert House is a stately Queenstown villa, with a history harking back to the gold rush. In 2015 it became a luxury boutique hotel, starting with a top-to-bottom refurbishment to restore the home to its original Victorian glory. We were tasked with creating an identity befitting this timelessly elegant place. With just 6 rooms, we wanted to create a sense of exclusivity, remaining true to the era while ensuring a contemporary feel. Everything we did, from the illustrative logo through to hand-painted gold signs and letterpressed invites, was crafted to the nth degree. Ample white space and premium paper stock ensures a luxury feel befitting the hotel’s high price point.
